Patients with Adult ADD may show symptoms of adult attention deficit disorder such as often bored with monotonous and repetitive tasks. Research shows that adults with ADHD have a divorce rate twice as high as that of adults without ADHD. Struggling to maintain relationships with friends or loved ones could be another sign of adult ADHD. Being impulsive, unreliable, and reckless, all common ADHD symptoms, is not the best way to start or maintain a social or romantic relationship or marriage.

Adult ADD and Relationships

Problems with relationships transpire mostly because the frustration and anger in those with symptoms of adult attention deficit disorder cools off as easily as it occurs. While others carry the hurt and anger after the event or argument, the ADD adult is left wondering as to what happened and why others are still annoyed. In addition, they are termed as egoistic and immature since they are incapable of following up on commitments.

Adult ADD may create problems with organization and planning. The most common trait that that has been observed is that of postponement of tasks that need immediate attention, even at the risk of suffering a loss, monetary or otherwise. College students have trouble in focusing on lectures and completing their assignments in time. As adults with ADD are mostly impulsive too, this often leads to monetary issues, which is one of the main reasons for a broken romantic relationship or a troubled relationship with others.

Adult ADD Medication

Once an individual has been diagnosed with and is on adult ADD medication, it is vital that the family has a proper and extensive understanding of the diagnoses and how the behaviors related with ADD can affect the entire family. The family may be required to deal with conditions like depression, anxiety, over indulgence in alcohol, and other conditions that manifest due prevalence of ADD.

If one of the two adults in a married relationship exhibits ADD symptoms, it is important that both are susceptible to each other’s weaknesses and strengths to enable the relationship to fructify and evolve positively. In such cases both the spouses become supplementary to each other, one of them has periods of spontaneity and the other acts like a stabilizer.

Adult ADD Behaviors

In cases where the non-ADD spouse fails to appreciate the procrastination and other inabilities of the ADD spouse as being medical conditions, the ADD spouse often resorts to strange behaviors in search of novel situations. Such behaviors often manifest in the form of over spending and extra marital affairs.

Most likely, once treatment of ADD starts, couples tend to expect miracles from the cure forgetting that adult ADD medication takes time to cure and may even lead to certain temporary side effects. This leads to negating the efforts already made towards nurturing relationships with ADD patients. For this purpose, family or couples therapy has to be a central part of the overall treatment. It is imperative to remember that it takes a long time to cultivate adult ADD relationships and it may take an equally long time to make long-term changes.

Adult ADD may be an explanation but that does not mean that it be made an excuse. Instead, if an effort is made to comprehend the strengths and weaknesses it may lead to managing the conditions successfully and help in developing strategies to convert those very symptoms to an advantage.

The autistic brain is “differently wired”. Autism is a developmental disorder of the brain that causes restrictive and repetitive behavior, and is a condition of abnormality involving excessive preoccupancy with the self. It is indicated by an inability to treat other individuals as people, characterized by communication disorders, low attention span and mental focus.

The autistic brain

The structure of the human brain differs in many ways from that of other animals. These differences are the aspects that are responsible for the advanced cognitive skills that are seen only in humans. In an autistic brain, the entire circuitry of the brain is periled. Such a situation causes uncoordinated movements, incapability of learning, and lack of memory and language skills. It also causes large moods swings and unacceptable social behavior. Indications of an autistic brain usually surface well before a child reaches the age of three. However, the causes behind an autistic brain are still not clear to scientists and doctors.

Autism is considered to be a genetic disorder. However, the genetics of autism are complicated and not properly understood by science. The link of autism to genes has been drawn based on studies carried out among identical and fraternal twins. If one of the identical twins is autistic, the other is most likely (90% of the cases) to be autistic too. On the other hand, this probability decreases to 15 to 0% in the case of fraternal twins. This, however, only indicates a genetic predisposition. Analysis of other attempts to link genetics to autism have been inconclusive. It is hypothesized that the genes are placed in such a manner that it increases vulnerability to environmental factors like exposure to toxins and viruses. It has also been argued that autism is a combination of three different disorders like social disablement, lack of communication skills, and repetitive behaviors, which have distinguishable causes and co-occur in certain cases.

Symptoms of an Autistic Brain

An autistic brain is not characterized by individual symptoms. It is diagnosed based on a blueprint of symptoms. Apart from the most common symptoms like lack of communication skills, repetitive behavior and inability to socialize, there are other symptoms that exist which are generally independent of diagnosis. Symptoms like unusual sensory stimulation, atypical eating habits and sleep problems have been observed in some children with developmental difficulties.

Autism affects various parts of the brain, and parents normally notice signs in the first two years of the child’s life. It appears as a result of developmental factors that impair many or all of the brain functions. Autism is a highly-researched field of medical study and some of the hypotheses include:

Too many neurons, which leads to increased connectivity between key areas of the brain.

Abnormality in organization of synapses and dendrites.

Unbalanced networks that excite or inhibit responses.

Abnormal neuronal migration during early gestation period.

Managing Symptoms of an Autistic Brain

Autism can be managed for lessening family distress and increasing functional independence of autistic children. While early intervention may help in improving some of the abilities of the child, autism cannot be cured completely. Herbs and vitamins that promote mental focus are normally instrumental in improving brain health and maintaining concentration, but in the case of an autistic child, they are of minimal help.

A meal plan for those with hyperthyroidism should consist of foods high in protein, B vitamins and iron such as whole grains and fresh vegetables. Add antioxidant rich foods into your diet, such as blueberries, cherries, and tomatoes, squash and bell peppers.

Foods to Avoid for Those with Hyperthyroidism

Since hyperthyroidism can be the result of too much iodine in the body, it is important to limit the intake of iodized salt, kelp, seafood, sea salt and some dairy products. Refrain from lunch meat and red meat as much as possible and avoid refined foods like white bread, pasta and sugar. Instead of using high fat cooking oils, switch to olive oil or vegetable oil. Eliminate trans fatty acids in most commercially cooked foods, these include onion ring, French fries, donuts and margarine.

Hyperthyroidism in infants and children is very rare. Infants diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, also called neonatal Grave’s disease, usually contract the condition from the mother. Women who have been diagnosed in the past with Grave’s disease can pass along the antibodies to their unborn children, and can lead to miscarriages or premature birth.

For infants born with hyperthyroidism, complications arise such as poor weight gain, rapid heartbeat, high blood pressure, bulging eyes, diarrhea, vomiting, and difficulty breathing. Oftentimes newborns are given medication and within a few weeks their symptoms are cleared up.

Although Grave’s Disease mainly affects women above the age of 20, it can also be the cause of hyperthyroidism in adolescent children. Symptoms of hyperthyroidism in children involve restlessness and disruptive behavior at school, and are easily mistaken for something other than a thyroid condition. If the condition worsens, symptoms become more severe and include bed wetting, quickened pulse, anxiousness, heat intolerance, weight loss, rapid growth, shaking hands, muscle weakness and diarrhea.

Pregnancy and Hyperthyroidism

If you are pregnant and suspect that you may have hyperthyroidism, it is essential that you seek a professional assessment. Diagnosis and appropriate treatment is very important as hyperthyroidism in pregnancy can be dangerous for both the mother and the baby.

In some pregnant women hyperthyroidism is a pre-existing condition. However, hyperthyroidism can also develop during pregnancy. Diagnosis is usually more difficult as pregnancy can mask the symptoms. For example, fatigue and weight gain are routinely experienced with pregnancy. Blood tests for T3 and T4 may also be inaccurate during pregnancy.

The most common cause of hyperthyroidism in pregnant women is Grave’s Disease with symptoms occurring during the first half of pregnancy. In most instances, mild to moderate hyperthyroidism during pregnancy will not cause problems for mom or baby – and the pregnancy can be expected to progress normally. However, severe and chronic hyperthyroidism may cause a variety of more serious complications and a correct diagnosis and treatment is therefore vital.

It is important to ask whether certain prescription medications may be passed through the placenta to your baby, and what effect this may have on your child. While prescription medication can be effective as part of a broader treatment plan, it is not always necessary.

Mediterranean diet: Choose this heart-healthy diet option
Source: Mayo Clinic

If you’re looking for a heart-healthy eating plan, the Mediterranean diet might be right for you. The Mediterranean diet incorporates the basics of healthy eating — plus a splash of flavorful olive oil and perhaps a glass of red wine — among other components characterizing the traditional cooking style of countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea.

Most healthy diets include fruits, vegetables, fish and whole grains, and limit unhealthy fats. While these parts of a healthy diet remain tried-and-true, subtle variations or differences in proportions of certain foods may make a difference in your risk of heart disease.

Benefits of the Mediterranean diet

The Mediterranean diet is thought to reduce your risk of heart disease. In fact, a 2007 study conducted in the United States found that both men and women who consumed a Mediterranean diet lowered their risk of death from both heart disease and cancer.

Key components of the Mediterranean diet include:

* Getting plenty of exercise and eating your meals with family and friends
* Eating a generous amount of fruits and vegetables
* Consuming healthy fats such as olive oil and canola oil
* Using herbs and spices instead of salt to flavor foods
* Eating small portions of nuts
* Drinking red wine, in moderation, for some
* Consuming very little red meat
* Eating fish or shellfish at least twice a week

Fruits, vegetables, nuts and grains

The Mediterranean diet traditionally includes fruits, vegetables, pasta and rice. For example, residents of Greece eat very little red meat and average nine servings a day of antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables. The Mediterranean diet has been associated with a lower level of oxidized low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol — the “bad” cholesterol that’s more likely to build up deposits in your arteries.

Nuts are another part of a healthy Mediterranean diet. Nuts are high in fat (approximately 80 percent of their calories come from fat), but tree nuts, including walnuts, pecans, almonds and hazel nuts, are low in saturated fat. Nuts are high in calories, so they should not be eaten in large amounts — generally no more than a handful a day. For the best nutrition, avoid honey-roasted or heavily salted nuts.

Grains in the Mediterranean region are typically whole grain and usually contain very few unhealthy trans fats, and bread is an important part of the diet there. However, throughout the Mediterranean region, bread is eaten without butter or margarines, which contain saturated or trans fats.

Healthy fats

The focus of the Mediterranean diet isn’t to limit total fat consumption, but to make wise choices about the types of fat you eat.

The Mediterranean diet is similar to the American Heart Association’s Step I diet, but it contains less cholesterol and has more fats. However, the fats are healthy — including monounsaturated fats, such as olive oil, and polyunsaturated fats, which contain the beneficial linolenic acid (a type of omega-3 fatty acid). These fat sources include canola oil and nuts, particularly walnuts. Fish — another source of omega-3 fatty acids — is eaten on a regular basis in the Mediterranean diet. Omega-3 fatty acids lower triglycerides and may improve the health of your blood vessels. The Mediterranean diet discourages saturated fats and hydrogenated oils (trans-fatty acids), both of which contribute to heart disease.

Choosing oils and fats

The Mediterranean diet emphasizes using olive oil as your primary source of fat, rather than animal or dairy fats. All types of olive oil provide monounsaturated fat — a type of fat that can help reduce LDL cholesterol levels when used in place of saturated or trans fats. “Extra-virgin” and “virgin” olive oils are the least processed forms, meaning they contain the highest levels of the protective plant compounds that provide antioxidant effects.

Wine

The health effects of alcohol have been debated for many years, and some doctors are reluctant to encourage alcohol consumption because of the health consequences of excessive drinking. However, light intake of alcohol has been associated with a reduced risk of heart disease in some research studies.

Red wine has an aspirin-like effect, reducing the blood’s ability to clot, and also contains antioxidants. The Mediterranean diet typically includes some red wine, but this should be consumed only in moderation. This means no more than 5 ounces (148 milliliters) of wine daily for women (or men over age 65), and no more than 10 ounces (296 milliliters) of wine daily for men under age 65. Any more than this increases the risk of health problems, including increased risk of certain types of cancer.

If you’re unable to limit your alcohol intake to the amounts defined above, if you have a personal or family history of alcohol abuse, or if you have heart or liver disease, refrain from drinking wine or any other alcohol. Also keep in mind that red wine may trigger migraines in some people.

Putting it all together

Adopting a Mediterranean diet is easy if you’re a smart shopper. Choose plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, limit your intake of red meat, and eat fish at least once a week. Though avoid fish that’s fried or laden with butter or heavy sauces. Use healthy fats, such as olive oil and canola oil, when cooking — but only in moderation because of their high calorie content. Consider nuts as a snack or an addition to a salad. Finally, reduce or eliminate saturated fat and trans fats (also known as hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils) from your diet.

Read food labels to see what you’re really buying and putting into your body.

Here are some specific steps you can take:

* Eat natural peanut butter, rather than the kind with hydrogenated fat added.
* Use butter sparingly. “Low fat” or “cholesterol-free” on the label doesn’t mean a product is necessarily good for you. Many of these items are made with trans fats.
* Eat a variety of whole fruits and vegetables every day. Ultimately, strive for seven to 10 servings a day. Keep baby carrots, apples and bananas on hand for quick, satisfying snacks. Fruit salads are a wonderful way to eat a variety of healthy — and tasty — fruit.
* Use canola or olive oil in cooking. Try olive oil for salad dressing and as a healthy replacement for butter or margarine. After cooking pasta, add a touch of olive oil, some garlic and green onions for flavoring. Dip bread in flavored olive oil or lightly spread it on whole-grain bread for a tasty alternative to butter.
* Season your meals with herbs and spices rather than salt.
* Substitute fish and poultry for red meat. Avoid sausage, bacon and other high-fat meats.
* Limit higher fat dairy products such as whole or 2 percent milk, cheese and ice cream. Switch to skim milk, fat-free yogurt and low-fat cheese.
* Eat fish once or twice a week. Water-packed tuna, salmon, trout, mackerel and herring are healthy choices. Grilled fish tastes good and requires little cleanup. Avoid fried fish, unless it’s sauteed in a small amount of olive oil.
* Keep walnuts, almonds, pecans and Brazil nuts on hand for a quick snack.
* If it’s OK with your doctor, go ahead and have a glass of red wine at dinner with your pasta or fish. If you don’t drink alcohol, you don’t need to start. Drinking purple grape juice may be a healthy alternative to wine.

The term ‘gout foods’ refers to certain foods which may result in purines in your body. The cause of gout is a high blood level of uric acids which is a waste product. The waste product is a breakdown of purines which are substances naturally found in your body.

The treatment of gout, in times past, included very strict dietary regiments and reducing the intake of gout foods. Today, with the use of medications to combat gout, the regiment of avoiding gout foods has been practically eliminated.

There still are some recommended dietary modifications though as they can greatly help your chances of avoiding gout flare-ups. Many medications for gout cause many, potentially serious, side effects. Returning to times past and reducing gout foods may be a better option than the medications.

Gout Foods to Avoid

Some of the foods that are high in purines and should be avoided are liver, brain, kidney, sweetbread, anchovies, peas, beans, mackerel, mincemeat, scallops, muscles, and herring. Other foods such as poultry, meat, and fish have lesser amounts of purines so it is suggested that they be eaten in moderation.

Beside Avoiding Gout Foods…

Other ways that you can lower the risk of gout naturally are:

1. Avoiding alcohol altogether or only drinking it in moderation, perhaps saving yourself for special occasions only. Drinking a lot of alcohol increases the risk of hyperuricemia, as the alcohol gets in the way of the natural removal of uric acids from the body. If you have gout and especially if you are having a gout attack alcohol should be avoided completely.
2. Make sure to drink plenty of fluids to flush the system of uric acids. Aim for around 2 liters of water a day, more if you are exercising or have a physical job.
3. Try to maintain a healthy weight. The more excess weight you are holding the more stress is then put on your joints increasing the possibility of gout.
4. Try to lose excess weight but do not do so by rapid weight loss diets as they can increase uric acid levels in the blood. In weight loss also avoid low-carb diets as they are high in fat and protein. Consuming too much of these types of foods can increase your chances of developing hyperuricemia.

Foods that are low in purines will help in keeping gout at bay.

Below is a list of non gout foods foods which are low in purines and best to eat

1. Breakfast – Cereals and breads, coffee, tea, oatmeal, eggs, fruits, juices, cheese (low fat), milk, and peanut butter.
2. Lunch – Nuts and peanut butter, pasta macaroni, soups, cream style soups, cheeses (low fat) and broths
3. Dinner – Pasta, macaroni, eggs, vegetables, breads and cereals, low-fat cheeses and soups.

Other foods and food items low in purines are gelatin, fats and oils (in small amounts), soda, sugar, syrups, and other sweets in moderation.

As with anything, moderation is the key to a low purine diet. Some foods which have a moderate purine level are: beef, lamb, pork, vegetables such as mushrooms, asparagus, cauliflower, spinach, wheat germ, all types of yeast and gravies.

It is ok to have some gout foods as long is it is in moderation. Even foods that are high in purines can be eaten occasionally unless you have gout or are having an attack of gout.

Because most of us in the Western world have grown up in a society in which allopathic medicine (not natural remedies) is the prevailing norm, we forget that only a few decades ago, homeopathic, herbal and other natural medicines like tissue salts and flower essences were commonly available and freely used even by conventional doctors.

* Homeopathic remedies treat the acute symptoms of a condition and stimulate the body to begin the healing process.

* Herbal remedies work on the cause of the problem by improving systemic functioning and supporting the organ, body system or individual as a whole.

* Tissue salts, which are also homeopathic, bring about harmony in the body as a whole by restoring balance.

* Flower essences address both emotional and mental aspects of wellness and work to re-balance energy to return order to chaos.

Natural medicines have a long history of usage and there is a wealth of empirical evidence to support their effectiveness and safety. In addition, active clinical research is carried out by many academic hospitals and universities to support the extensive traditional and empirical evidence behind natural medicines.

Why Choose Natural Remedies?

As the systems of the body are interrelated, proper functioning and optimal health occurs when they are in balance and harmony. Therefore, it is therefore important to consider all disturbances in these delicate systems and opt for a holistic approach to caring for the body. Many natural remedies work well together to provide increased support for many common conditions, as well as to support general well-being.

Provided that they are manufactured in the correct way, natural medicines can work quickly and safely to create holistic balance in the body to support systemic health, relieve ailments, and help prevent future disease.

In addition, due to their unique manufacturing method, most natural remedies do not produce negative side effects and will not interact with prescription drugs. Most homeopathic are even safely taken by all ages and during pregnancy.

What Type(s) of Natural Remedies Should I Choose?

It often takes a combination of treatment methods to find a complete solution… and unlike conventional medicine, natural remedies do not just mask symptoms, they get to the root of the problem—often using an herbal + homeopathic approach.
Using herbal and homeopathic remedies together is therefore a very powerful way to both support health and effect healing at the same time – without risking side effects.

A complete solution for wellness may include a combination of homeopathic and herbal remedies, tissue salts and flower essences to combat physical, emotional or psychological health problem(s) and restore balance in the body to provide both fast-acting symptomatic relief and improve body function for long-term health.

Why Choose Native Remedies?

Native Remedies is the market leader in specially formulated, compound natural remedies, delivering a unique dual-modality approach for complete holistic wellness by offering OTC homeopathic remedies for relief of symptoms as well as compound herbal remedies for natural support and enhancement of body structure and functions.

Whatever your choice, always choose wisely. Research what is best for you. Well-informed and supportive practitioners will support patients who want to take responsibility for their own health.

Homeopathic remedies are based on a holistic approach to health that addresses illness by stimulating the body’s own healing powers. Homeopathy is based on the principle of “like treats like” or the “Law of Similars”, which states that if an herb or some other natural substance is consumed in a large quantity and a specific set of symptoms occur, then that same ingredient in small amounts will stimulate the body to fight against those same symptoms.

The idea behind homeopathic medicine is similar to that of getting a vaccination; however, while vaccinations are used to prevent illness in people, homeopathic remedies are used to treat illnesses and address symptoms, whether these are physical or emotional.

A common and basic example of homeopathy is the red onion. Many people experience symptoms like watery eyes, runny nose, sneezing and even an itchy throat after dicing red onions. Therefore, red onion is often used as a homeopathic medicine in homeopathic potency to combat these same symptoms stemming from mild allergies or the common cold.

Using red onion in its raw form would aggravate these symptoms; instead it is prepared homeopathically so that the final remedy has no molecular traces of the original raw ingredient. The homeopathic preparation will stimulate the body’s own healing mechanisms to overcome the symptoms naturally and without chemical drugs, thereby addressing the symptoms and strengthening the body’s defenses.

Homeopathy is a gentle yet effective system of healing, and homeopathic remedies are suitable for use in all ages, including during pregnancy. In addition, homeopathic medicines may be safely combined with prescription medication in most cases.

Note: You will be able to identify a homeopathic medicine by its potency, shown in parentheses after the ingredient; for example, Arnica (6C).

Are homeopathic remedies safe?

Yes, homeopathic remedies are safe. Like conventional medicine, homeopathy uses a wide variety of ingredients of herbal, mineral, or animal origin. As is the case with conventional medicine, some of these ingredients may be also toxic in large amounts. However, due to the unique and specialized manufacturing methods used in homeopathy, no molecular traces of the original raw ingredients are left in the final product. This makes homeopathy extremely safe.

All Native Remedies homeopathic products are manufactured in FDA and GMP registered pharmaceutical facilities under the supervision of qualified homeopaths and responsible pharmacists. Individual ingredients are listed in the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States (HPUS).

Most homeopathic remedies can be safely used alongside most conventional medicines, and unless otherwise noted, are safe for people of all ages, including pregnant women or nursing mothers.

How long does homeopathic remedies take to work?

People respond differently to homeopathic medicines based on individual emotional and physical states. While some individuals show an immediate improvement which increases over time, others will see results over a few weeks with regular use.

Homeopathic remedies work from the inside out, often causing you to feel more positive, with more energy, in the first instance. Outer symptoms such as skin conditions are often the last to clear. Sometimes patience is called for when using homeopathic remedies – as balance is slowly restored, symptoms will improve.

What else can I do?

Depending on the situation and the individual, other holistic treatment modalities compliment homeopathy very well, including acupuncture, aromatherapy massage, herbal remedies, flower essences or meditation. As with all approaches to health, taking into consideration proper lifestyle, diet and exercise are also crucial for optimum health and results.

Herbal remedies are dietary supplements prepared from plants for their therapeutic or medicinal value. The approach of an herbal remedy is to address the underlying, core cause of the illness.

Although we may not realize it, many conventional medicines found in stores today originally came from plants. However, conventional medication is synthetically manufactured and goes through many chemical processes, causing it to have a high chemical content and risk of side effects – often doing as much harm as good.

Correctly manufactured herbal remedies, on the other hand, use properly extracted active properties of herbs to maintain and support stability of an organ or body system of an individual as a whole in the long-term.

Are herbal remedies safe?

Yes. With a wide range of natural remedies and treatments on the market today, we understand that it can sometimes be difficult to make sense of it all. There is no standardization in the herbal industry, meaning unless you use a qualified source, there is no guarantee as to the consistency, safety or potency of the herbal products you buy.

All herbal solutions from Native Remedies are manufactured using the Full Spectrum Approach of herbal extraction—which ensures strict safety standards to bring customers therapeutic effectiveness, consistency, safety, and potency—unlike the methods used by other manufacturers.

How long does an herbal remedy take to work?

It is important to embrace herbal healthcare as part of a holistic lifestyle, and not simply a ‘quick-fix’. Although herbal remedies give immediate support, time is usually needed for full benefits to be felt. While this can sometimes take longer than synthetic medicine, this is not always the case, and many medicinal herbs are fast-acting, bringing quick relief.

As consistency is so important in obtaining optimal benefits from our natural remedies, be sure to continue taking as directed.

What else can I do?

Depending on the situation and the individual, other holistic treatment modalities compliment herbal remedies very well, including acupuncture, aromatherapy massage, homeopathic remedies, flower essences or meditation. As with all approaches to health, taking into consideration proper lifestyle, diet and exercise are also crucial for optimum health and results.

Flower essences are made by immersing selected flowers in natural spring water in sunlight and allowing the energy of the flowers to be retained in the water, facilitating balance in the body through the organic healing energy of the plant.

Physics has shown that we have fields of energy, composed of billions of molecules, atoms, electrons and even smaller particles– each which creates its own vibration or energy field on a level not seen with the naked eye. Flower essences are ‘imprints’ of the plants’ life force that interact with these subtle energies, awakening and aligning specific qualities deep within us.

Flower essences positive energy

Flower essences present the premise that positive energy can redirect or neutralize negative energy. These herbal infusions, made from the flowering part of the plant, uniquely address both emotional and mental aspects of wellness. In addition, rather than focusing on only physical symptoms, flower essences address specific life challenges.

Are flower essences safe?

Yes. Native Remedies’ flower essence products are 100% natural liquid infusions formulated using the highest therapeutic standards, containing a selection of classic stock strength flower essences. In line with the classic method, all our flower and gem essences are infused in natural sunlight using pure spring water, produced in consultation with our clinical psychologist and experts in the field of flower essences, using ingredients specially chosen for their safety and effectiveness.

In line with the classic method, all our flower and gem essences are infused in natural sunlight using pure spring water. They are hand-bottled and hand-labeled in a peaceful environment away from factory production lines so as not to interfere with the vibrational energies of the flowers.

How long do flower essences take to work?

Flower essences are usually taken 2-4 drops at a time, four times a day, under the tongue. Results range from immediate and dramatic to mild and more subtle, with most people reporting a change in their sleeping patterns, dreams, energy levels and their readiness to form new outlooks and new emotional breakthroughs. If an emotional blockage is deeper and more long-standing, a longer duration of use may be necessary.

Because the remedies are extremely diluted, they do not have a characteristic scent or taste of the plant, but rather an energetic signature of the flower, ready and available for transmission into the body. This makes them of great use for times of transition or stress, or when the life pathway changes direction, such as pregnancy or new life.

What else can I do?

Flower essences interact with our own willingness and commitment to change to restore an internal state of balance. The essences enhance our life force, the true source of healing, uplifting it to its original, natural state.

As with all approaches to health, taking into consideration proper lifestyle, diet and exercise are also crucial for optimum health and results.
